MP Act, 1952.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Wage Month:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\u00a0The calendar month for which wages are payable.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Reference Base of Employees<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">The reference base of employees is used to determine an establishment&#8217;s eligibility:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Existing Establishments:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\u00a0The number of employees for whom the employer remitted contributions for the wage month of September 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">New Establishments:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\u00a0The reference base is treated as zero for establishments registered with EPFO between October 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Eligibility Criteria for Establishments<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">To be eligible for the ABRY, establishments must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Existing Establishments:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\u00a0Employ a minimum of two new employees (if the reference base is \u2264 50) or five new employees (if the reference base is &gt; 50).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Maintain Employee Count:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\u00a0Continue to employ the minimum number of additional new employees and retain the reference base of employees.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">New Establishments:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\u00a0Establishments registered between October 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021, with less than 20 employees, must maintain this number to remain eligible.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Contractors:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\u00a0Establishments working as contractors cannot claim benefits if they are already claimed or received from the principal employer.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Single Legal Entity:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\u00a0Establishments with multiple code numbers will have all employees included for eligibility criteria.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Eligibility Criteria for Employees<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">New employees eligible for benefits under ABRY must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Be registered by an eligible employer between October 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Have an Aadhaar-seeded Universal Account Number (UAN).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Have monthly wages below \u20b915,000.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Not be receiving benefits under PMRPY\/PMPRPY 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Amount of Benefit<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">The Central Government will provide subsidy for twenty-four wage months:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Establishments with \u2264 1000 Employees:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\u00a0Both the employer&#8217;s and employee&#8217;s share of contribution (24% of wages).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Establishments with &gt; 1000 Employees:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\u00a0Only the employee&#8217;s share of contribution (12% of wages).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Procedure for Availing Benefits<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">To avail benefits under the ABRY, employers must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Register the establishment on the EPFO Unified Portal.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Ensure that the updated ownership return is filed with EPFO.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Obtain a declaration from the new employee regarding their previous membership.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">File Electronic Challan cum Return (ECR) for each wage month.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Not make any deductions from employees&#8217; wages towards EPF contributions.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Upload a certificate\/declaration with the ECR.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Modality for Implementation<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">EPFO will develop software for implementing the scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Funds will be credited to the Aadhaar-seeded UAN accounts of eligible employees.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Monitoring and Evaluation<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">EPFO will monitor the implementation of the scheme on a weekly basis.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">EPFO will provide monthly reports to the Ministry of Labour &amp;
