This amount is placed into a fixed deposit account (either jointly or singly) with a lock-in period of 3 years or until the eldest minor child reaches majority. Interest is credited quarterly, and the principal amount is transferred to the beneficiary&#8217;s savings account after the lock-in period.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Medical Assistance:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\u00a0Health cards are provided to the permanently incapacitated and family members of victims, entitling them to free medical treatment under the National Rural Health Mission and other relevant schemes.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Procedures for Claiming Assistance<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">The process for claiming assistance involves several steps:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Eligible claimants must file their claims within 3 years of the incident through the concerned District Magistrate (DM)\/State Government.
