To address this, the government has, for the first time, included BPR&amp;D under the Plan with an outlay of Rs. 150 crore during the 11th Five Year Plan, and has sanctioned 72 additional posts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Plan Schemes of BPR&amp;D<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">The BPR&amp;D implements several plan schemes aimed at improving policing in India. These schemes include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol class=\"ng-star-inserted\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Central Academy for Police Training, Bhopal:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\u00a0This academy aims to train trainers of state police training institutes, as well as direct recruit Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) and conduct in-service specialized training for DySPs and Additional SPs.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Central Detective Training Schools and New BPR&amp;D Headquarters:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\u00a0The scheme aims to establish two new Central Detective Training Schools (CDTS) in Ahmedabad and Kanpur to address training needs for state police personnel in criminal investigation. It also includes the construction of the BPR&amp;D headquarters at Mahipalpur, New Delhi.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><strong class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Research &amp; Development Projects:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\u00a0The scheme funds research and development projects in the areas of police and correctional administration.
